Anyways i watched Tenacious D : In the pick of destiny yesterday and yeah good olde JB strikes another homerun for rock'n'roll once again! It might not be the best movie i ever watched, i think the distinction is probably reserved for another movie, but it still totally kicks ass. I mean in the movie, JB likes Sabbath, The Who, AC/DC! Totally rocky bands that rightfully should get their exposure in the film.Good thing emowankers weren't featured, if not i would probably barf.
Gonna do a short little un-rhyming poem, an ode to Rock'N'Roll!
At the beginning, there was jazz and there was the blues.
With a flick of the switch came Elvis the dood.
He electrified the world and paved the way
Chuck Berry, Lil Richard, Buddy Holly men of Rock
Little boys became men, and the kids rebelled
Beatlemania ran wild as girls screamed out
The Who and the Stones rummaged through crowds
As rock fell down.
Hippies took the world as Disco fever died off
Flower Power wilted and Metal came on
KISS and The Number of The Beast
Rock was dying and yes its true
Till it attained Nirvana and U2 too
An Oasis it stopped and revived it was
Is rock still dead or is it alive?
